I completed a Degree in Advertising Photography in 1994 . Then after travelling around Australia and Indonesia for a year I began working with a variety of Photographers . This experience gave me a great insight into the photographic world . Its fine studying it , doing it is another animal altogether. My first commercial shoot was in 1997 for A Plan Insurance , photographing cars. A Plan had no real budget so we used model cars, lots of photoshop and me ! It was a start .
Since then I have been lucky enough to work for a diverse client base ranging from firms such as Peugeot , VW , F H Hinds through to large and small schools working with a variety of PR , Advertising agencies and direct clients . It doesn't matter what the size of the budget is, every shoot demands the same care , attention to detail and creativity to produce stunning images.
There is a great quote by the German Photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt
'It is more important to click with people than to click the shutter'
This is absolutely true . You can only capture people at their best if they are relaxed and feel the connection through the lens with the photographer. This is were the fun begins.
